Sumit’s journey began from a North Indian town in Uttar Pradesh, from where he then proceeded to the Himalayas – the home of pure Yoga. This is where he discovered Yoga as the path to human consciousness and overall well-being. Sumit began his Yoga practice at the age of 18 under the guidance of his Guru Shreeram Sharma Acharya in the Himalayas. During his four-years training, he interacted with the mystics and it was this experience that brought him closer to understanding the physiology and psychology of the human body. In 2005, he earned his Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Science and Human Consciousness from Haridwar in India, following which he gained his initial experience in India as a professional trainer and therapist.
From 2008 until 2019, Sumit based himself in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he created his brand and company Lifestyle Yoga. Under his guidance, Lifestyle Yoga offers an impressive range of Yoga services – Couple Yoga Sessions, Prenatal Yoga, Group Yoga Sessions & Personalised Private Yoga Therapy sessions to assist those with back pain disorders, diabetes, hypertension, weight loss, etc.
Furthermore, through his brand Lifestyle Yoga, Sumit has offered Corporate Wellness Yoga Sessions where he has trained and facilitated many corporate workshops and has conducted induction programs for beginners.
Nonetheless, Sumit has been active with organising Yoga and Meditation Retreats and Workshops in the UAE and internationally, along with participating in various corporate social responsibility activities in the UAE.
From training corporate groups for leadership skills, to providing consultancy and advice to people regarding correct methods of exercising, using fitness equipment, backbends and arm balances to actual fitness coaching, Sumit has touched upon every aspect of well-being that he personally considers important.

SIX PRINCIPLES OF MANAV YOGA
In today’s fast-paced world, our lifestyle hampers our body’s well-being by accumulating toxins. This results in the creation of stress, diseases, and illnesses, which deteriorates one’s health. The ancient wisdom of yoga can be summarised into six principles. Once you start abiding by those principles, then you will develop the foundation with which you can remain healthy, happy & peaceful.
Below are the six principles of Yoga that you will experience in each class of Manav Yoga:
Right Yoga Practice
Right asana plays a very important role in your health and body alignment. Correct postures will help awaken the prana. Strengthening the spine will help develop the flexibility that will assist you in sitting in your meditation practice comfortably.
Prana Is Life
The most important form of energy is Prana within us. Prana is a life force. Learning and mastering the Pranayama in your yoga practice will lead you to be a vibrant and energetic being.
Relaxation
Learn to become free from all kind of stress and anxiety. Release the tension and bring your awareness into the present moment. Once the body and mind are calm then you are ready to develop the clarity and you will be able to make better decisions in life.
Discipline
This will make you a better & successful person in life. Yoga begins from discipline and once you start to apply yogic disciple in your life, your life begins to transform. Let's be disciplined and transform one’s self.
Meditation
A Yoga session feels incomplete without Meditation. Meditation brings about inner peace and brings clarity in your mind. It is hard to control the mind, but with Manav Yoga, you will learn to let go off the negative thoughts with the Meditation practice. The key to achieving mastery in mediation is Abhyasa (practice).
‘Yogic’ Lifestyle
This ensures you are the master of your own body. By practicing Yogic principles you’d see that your actions are guided by your inner wisdom and not shaped by the outer world. It is this lifestyle that further evolves into a dedicated Yogic culture bringing out the Zen in you - calmness, happiness and great health in abundance.

6-Days & 7-Chakra Concept
Yoga is essentially based on the seven-chakra system that lies along the spine- from the base to the crown of the head, and each of these chakra points is responsible for the organs and gland’s healthiness in its region. The chakras are not only responsible for the organs and glands, but this extends and contributes to our personality traits and characteristics. Of these seven chakras, one of the most important and fascinating is the Ajna Chakra or Third Eye.
ROOT CHAKRA
Root Chakra or Muladhara is the centre of stability, security, and our basic needs. It encompasses the first three vertebrae, the bladder, and the colon. When Root chakra is open, we feel safe and fearless.
SACRAL CHAKRA
Sacral Chakra is our creativity and sexual center. It is located above the pubic bone, below the navel, and is responsible for our creative expression.
SOLAR PLEXUS
Solar plexus or Manipur Chakra means lustrous gem and it’s the area from the navel to the breastbone. The third Chakra is our source of personal power and fire element for digestive function.
HEART CHAKRA
Heart or Anahata Chakra is at the middle of the seven and unites the lower Chakras of matter and the upper chakras of spirit. The Anahata is also spiritual but serves as a bridge between our body, mind, emotions, and spirit. The Heart Chakra is our source of love and connection.
THROAT CHAKRA
This is the fifth Chakra, located in the area of the throat. This is our source of verbal expression and the ability to speak our highest truth. The fifth Chakra includes the neck, thyroid, and parathyroid glands, jaw, mouth, and tongue.
THIRD EYE
The Ajna Chakra is located in between the eyebrows. It is also referred to as the “Third Eye” Chakra. Ajna is our center of intuition. We all have a sense of intuition, but we may not listen to it or heed its warnings. Focus on opening the sixth chakra will help you hone this ability.
CROWN CHAKRA
Crown or Sahaswara or the “thousand petal lotus” chakra is located at the crown of the head. This is the chakra for enlightenment and spiritual connection to our higher selves, others, and ultimately, to the divine. It is located at the crown of the head.
